Broadcast Depot & Broadcast Alliance

How we’ve deepened business relationships through a memorable after-party for attendees of the National Association of Broadcasters since 2014

Results

For more than five years we’ve planned and executed events in Las Vegas for Broadcast Depot, a member of Broadcast Alliance. Each year we’ve ensured to outdo ourselves from the previous.

We strive to create a personalized gathering that enhances the relationships between the companies in the Broadcast Alliance, their customers and their employees. Time and time again we’ve shown that we can masterfully curate experiences that our clients and their guests love, cementing their choice to use Stupak for their most important event of the year.

Stats

  • 200+ attendees
  • 4 hours of open bar & elegant charcuterie
  • 10-20% increase in attendees each year
  • $20,000 budget

Challenges

Each year we’re tasked with making the event better than the last. We do this by making small changes that enhance the event each time. This night serves to help these companies earn and win business by developing deeper relationships off of the convention floor. We value the trust Broadcast Depot puts in us to help the company shine, so we work tirelessly to make this event an overwhelming success.

Insights

Because most of the attendees were from Latin America, our clients wanted their party at a venue where they could play Latin music. This was an opportunity to show their customers that details matter, and it was a chance to give them a feel of home.

Solution

We were first approached by Broadcast Depot in 2014 to help plan an event celebrating the close of the annual National Association of Broadcasters convention. Broadcast Depot is one of companies that makes up the Broadcasting Alliance, and it is responsible to host the after-party for NAB. This is their opportunity to treat their customers and employees as well as celebrate their time in Las Vegas.

The experiences in 2014 & 2015

In 2014 and 2015, it was extremely important to our clients to have an indoor/outdoor venue with a view of the Las Vegas Strip for this event.

The new view from Apex Lounge, formerly Ghostbar.

As a result, both functions were hosted at the Ghostbar lounge at Palms Casino Resort. The event was scheduled from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. with a partial buyout of the venue. The client opted for bottle service instead of open bar, because the former created a more upscale vibe with bottle presentations and servers on-hand. We also hired promotional models to help with branding and marketing as well as to interact with guests at the party.

The experience in 2016 & 2017

Keeping in line with the outdoor Strip views, we hosted the events on the terrace at Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop at Paris Las Vegas in 2016 and 2017.

The spectacular view from Chatueau Nightclub’s terrace.

The event was entirely outdoors. Guests enjoyed beautiful views of the Las Vegas Strip and the Fountains of Bellagio.

Since our clients hosted more people in 2016 and 2017, we secured a buyout of half of the venue to accommodate more than 200 people. We again opted for bottle service and hired promotional models.

The experience in 2018

In 2018, we moved the event to one of the most popular lounges in downtown Las Vegas, Commonwealth. This pre-Prohibition era cocktail bar has an amazing interior with a rooftop terrace overlooking the historic Fremont Street.

Commonwealth’s beautiful interior.

This was the best after-party to date. As with previous years, most of the attendees were affluent businessmen from Latin America. In order to paint our clients in a good light and really impress their guests, we did a full venue buyout. With the entire space reserved, we hired a DJ to play Latin music, coordinated a four-hour open bar, and elegantly displayed the food and beverage options. Since the attendee list once again increased, we opted for an open bar for a better value.

Like the previous events, Stupak members were onsite managing the guest list at the doors, controlling the flow of traffic and assisting as necessary. We also hired bartenders, servers and promotional models to ensure the event was properly staffed.

Broadcasting Alliance’s 2018 NAB after-party was so successful our clients, who adored the venue, extended the night by an additional hour. They are excited to book Commonwealth in 2019, and we can’t wait to raise the bar once again!
